  • 1917 - The original El Paso Key Fitting started by J.S. Saucedo
  • 1917 - J.S. Saucedo started the El Paso Key Fitting Co. in nothing more than a long narrow alley way.
1946
  • 1946 - The Saucedo hardware store was the first self-service hardware store in the country.
  • 1946 - The Saucedo hardware store as viewed from Texas Street in downtown El Paso, TX.
1947
  • 1947 - A young and aspiring entrepreneur. Edward had a plan.
  • 1947 - Edward Saucedo was a very active member within the El Paso community.
1956
  • 1956 - The Edward Saucedo Co.'s first business card.
1969
  • 1969 - Edward Saucedo becomes a representive for Dominion lock Inc.
1974
  • 1976 - David Saucedo with Twoplicator, a Fitmaster product invented by Carlos Saucedo and marketed by his younger brother Edward Saucedo. It was the first key machine of its kind.
1978
  • 1978 - Father and son team up to create the most successful locksmith company in El Paso.
  • 1978 - Edward Saucedo officially makes his son a shareholder and becomes the Edward Saucedo & Son Company.
  • 1978 - The orignal storefront of the Edward Saucedo & Son Company
1981
  • 1981 - Construction on the new store begins.
  • 1981 - Due to construction of the new store, Edward conducted his business on a simple chair.
1982
  • 1982 - Final phases of construction completed in the Fall of 1982.
  • 1982 - David Saucedo putting the final touches on the new building.
  • 1982 - Edward and David Saucedo doing business at an ALOA Convention
1983
  • 1983 - New Store Officially Completed
  • 1983 - David hires his future wife, Sandra.
